DECEASED

The first band to sign onto Relapse Records and they left the label in 2003.

The band went through a jumble of names including Mad Butcher and Evil Axe before settling on the name Deceased.

Rob Sterzel died in a hit and run accident on March 3, 1988. Doug Souther's brother Steve also died in the accident along with a friend of the band Larry Ruscio. Another friend named Sean Lawrence was injured.

King Fowley ran the now-defunct With Your Teeth Records which released only several albums by the bands Corpus Rottus and Blacklord.
